WeDo(TM) Robotics for Early Years:
WeDo is a robotic concept for early years. Simple, fun models are plugged into the computer and programmed using motors and sensors. The software is easy drag and drop icon based and integrates with the teacher’s activity pack to provide ICT, science, technology and literacy activities that will engage students from 7 years and up. No experience needed. Build a crocbot, a funny monkey or a super soccer star and have some serious fun! |
Exploring Renewable Energy:
The activities allow students to become acquainted with real-life mechanisms, such as capacitors and solar cells. Concepts covered include: potential energy, movement or kinetic energy, converting potential energy into kinetic energy, storing electrical energy, distributing energy, renewable energy from the sun, wind, water. Explore the worksheets that enable your class to record and analyse energy data, predict results and draw conclusions while gaining a solid grounding in the fundamental principles of energy. |

This workshop is an overview of the range of resources available from LEGO Education to implement your schools Science & Technology program.
